Online Blackjack is great fun and easy to play! As already stated, the object is to beat the dealer’s hand by getting close to or reaching 21 points, without going over. How to do this? You need to count up the value of your cards. Our Blackjack game uses an eight deck shoe. Cards numbered 2 to 10 are at face value. An ace is valued as either 1 or 11 at your discretion, whereas all face cards are valued as 10. All hands which contain an ace valued as 11 are considered ”soft” hands (i.e. A, 6 is a soft 17), while those holding an ace valued as 1 are considered ”hard” hands (i.e. A, 6, Q is a hard 17). The best possible hand in the game is a blackjack hand, namely an ace and a card valued as 10 (10, J, Q, K).Three or more cards totalling 21 are always beaten by a two-card Blackjack. Before receiving any cards, the player must place a wager. After all players ante, they are dealt two cards face up. The dealer gets one card face up and one face down, the latter remaining so until the players have finished their hands. If the dealer’s hand totals a hard 17 through 21 upon turning over the card, he must stand. If his hand totals 16 or under, the dealer must continue to take cards until he reaches at least 17 or ”bust” (over 21). The dealer must hit on a soft 16.
StandThe player is happy with his hand and desires to keep it dealt.
Hit
The player wants another card to be dealt. Requesting another card when your two cards total 10 or less will not result in any loss since you cannot go over 21 with just one hit.
Double Down
The player has been dealt the first two cards and believes the third card will make them beat the dealer’s hand, and so decides to ”double” the initial wager. Upon clicking the Double button, additional third card will be dealt to the player and no more. The hand is automatically stood, and the dealer then completes their hand comparing it to the Players’ total.
Split
The player may split the first two cards if they are of identical value (i.e. 7,7 or 10, Q) into two separate hands. They will now be drawing cards to one of the hands until it’s played out, then the same with the second hand. All usual rules apply for each hand. Player may only split hand once and a new wager equal to the initial wager will be placed for each split hand. The payout for the split hand Blackjack is 1:1, unlike the normal 3:2.
Insurance
This option gives the player a chance to protect themselves upon belief that the dealer might have Blackjack (e.g. the dealer’s first hand is an Ace). Player may then purchase insurance against Dealer Blackjack at the price of half their initial bet. If the dealer does have Blackjack, the winning insurance bet will be paid 2 to 1, which corresponds to the amount of the initial bet. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, the insurance bet is lost. Therefore, whatever the dealer gets – settles the player’s original bet.
Payoffs
The player wins their wager if their total hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, without going over 21. If the player’s total goes over 21 (”busts”) then the dealer wins automatically, before turning over the next card. Every hand that totals less than that of the dealer – loses. If the dealer’s and the player’s hands are equal in value, the game results in a tie or ”push” and the original bet for the hand returns to the player. Player with a Blackjack is paid 3:2 rather than 1:1.
